Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains, in plain language, how RoyalClubhouse handles your personal information.

Who we are

RoyalClubhouse is a hotel and resort operated by RoyalClubhouse Hospitality Ltd, 24 Fernhill Road, Queenstown 9300, Otago, New Zealand. You can contact us by phone on +64 3 442 6190 or by email at [email protected]. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

The information we collect

We only collect personal information that we need to provide our services. This usually includes your name, email address, phone number, the details of your enquiry or booking (such as dates, room preferences and the number of guests), and any message you choose to send us. We collect this information directly from you, for example when you complete our enquiry form, call us or email us.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your enquiries, manage your reservation, provide guest services during your stay, and — only where you have given your consent — to send you news and offers. We collect and use information for these clear, lawful purposes and we are open with you about how it is handled.

Sharing and overseas transfers

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted service providers who help us run the hotel, such as our booking and payment partners and, where enabled, analytics and advertising providers. Some of these providers may store or process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to a standard comparable with New Zealand law.

Storing and protecting your information

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it, and we protect it with appropriate security measures. When it is no longer required, we securely delete or de-identify it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date. To make a request, contact us using the details above and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

If something goes wrong

If a privacy breach occurs that could cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, as required by the Privacy Act 2020.

Marketing and unsubscribing

We will only send marketing messages if you have opted in. Every marketing email includes a simple way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to stop at any time by contacting us directly.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. You can read about them, and choose which ones we may use, in our Cookie Policy.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put things right. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
